Its been like this for years dude.. RS is never going to upgrade their software... It got to the point where I was reminding them every week that their VB is old and unsecure and prone to attacks (I know because I run some VB forums). Then when they finally got hacked they blamed me :lol

Not sure what kind of income they bring in, but surely an upgrade would be worth considering. Not just for the interface issues, but for the fact that the old VB is terribly outdated and very inefficient compared to the new one. The bigger the forum, the more crucial it is to update.

Switch to Opera ...

Eclypz 03-14-2007 01:02 AM

yea...it's always been like that, but it's not a big enough concern for me to worry about it...lol

I think FireFox is overrated anyways...Ever since IE7 came out, i don't use Firefox anymore - There's no real reason why i switched back to IE7 other than preference.

The one that really gets me is that you don't get "Email notification" if you use the "Quick Reply" box at the bottom of the page, despite having the option set in your preferences... I asked them about this once and basically got a "Well what do you expect, stupid? Use the 'post reply' button and it will work."

Excuse me, but if I have that set as a default option, it should work with the quick-reply as well. Seems like this isn't a very complicated concept.

Soundy is like the neo version of SkinnyPupp :lol

Mine gets all wonky in Safari. Oh well at long as its usable.

Yeah, it's weird, but it's not going to kill you.

I'm sure you can learn to live with it.

You'll get use to it, it really makes no difference at all. Firefox > IE

JoKeY_SmUrF 04-11-2007 11:37 AM

Opera > FireFox > IE

I never even noticed until you pointed it out.

Old thread, but I can't stand my firefox + RS problem anymore.

The top title bar (Revscene + ad) and the links under that (Home....Support) display correctly, but everything under it (ie. all forums/threads) is shifted to the right, such that I have to scroll to the right half a page every time I click on a new page.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a fix, assuming I want to keep using firefox?

btw, I use Vista, and this shifting problem only happens AFTER I sign in to RS. I wonder if it has something to do with the "awesome bar". Thanks.

underscore 03-01-2009 09:36 PM

it works fine for me, is your FF and all addons up to date? try disabling addons and restarting and see what happens

lilaznviper 03-02-2009 08:32 AM

chrome > IE > FF

i find that FF uses so much resources if i have a couple of tabs up and running

wahyinghung 03-06-2009 09:59 PM

I use firefox and Safari as my secondary browser
