i've been wondering about this for a while now, does anyone know how much is the starting wage for superstore warehouse on marine drive is...my buddy told me that his friend works there and makes about $24/hour...i find it hard to believe.

do you mean as one of the receivers? my friend works at the one on lougheed, and i think he only gets like $9.

i work at superstore warehouse on marine drive

the pay is 13.35 starting
and the max you can make depends on what contract you have..
the ppl that have worked there a long time ago have the old contract, which was like $23

For new ppl i think the max you can make is like $21.50/hour

u dun wanna work there trust me.....
reasons:
-hard labour work (try lifting a 20-30kg all day long)
-fag ass managers n supervisers
-bad work conditions (either really hot or really cold) stuffy air too since its a underground warehouse
-dangerous (machines speeding past you and heavy crates everywhere)
-most of the working there r selfish and un helpful
-the east indian workers there seem to discrimanate (fawkers)
-pushed to make deadlines

Pros:
-13 bucks an hour? hell most jobs pay over 10 bucks nowdays
-24 bucks an hour? ask the guy how long hes worked there for
15+years

workers there are pretty chill, most of the supervisors are fags except for a couple. It doesn't take 15+ years to make top wage. The only person i know thats been there for 15+ years is Kevin Reign and he makes a little under 6 figures.


But yeh stay the fuck away from there, once you pass probaition its almost hard to leave...

i have worked at the marine drive location wherehouse back in 2003 and it is dangerous but you are union and get good benifits, i ended up ther on wcb then i went back this year and they had gps and where real advance, now the sign they used to put up on marine is no longer ther cause the got permanent employees before it was a joke people would steal leave work then come back to clock off no more off that but it is a good place to work for long run

Asked a friend who still works there.

They only kept the lifers.

So now it's 90% Flip. Up from 75%.
CE + Grocery are now mixed.

is superstore dead yet? It is mostly Costco and Osaka/TNT now :D

You do realize that Osaka/TNT is owned by Loblaws who also owns Superstore.

My friends work there and their hourly pay is $14. Not bad pay for their first job but the supervisers are douches.

Anyone know if the marine drive superstore have graveyard shifts that picks orders?

that shit is hard work for sure. I worked there for 1 whole week back in the day and could not take it anymore..... most of that week was training....
