Spotted an Ariel Atom yesterday at Western Speedway. Pure cargasm, even though the driver wasn't pushing it at 10 10ths. Just amazing in person.

talked to the white r8 guy at chevron in langford. hes an older guy probably about 60, his son told him to get the car or something, has a decently strong accent so it was kind of hard to understand. said he never pushed it very hard, i did get that much.

Spotted yesterday:

A dude on a Yamaha Banshee ripping along Admirals, passing me and a co-worker, with the front wheels up! He then pulled in front of us in the left turn lane, and kept pace with traffic along the Old Island Highway to Helmcken and turned right. We turned after him, and he just cruised along, wheelie-ing the straight stretches. We had to turn left up highway one, but he continued across the overpass and up past the hospital. I had a good laugh at that one.

What was it doing at Western? Where was it from?

Auto-x. The short version that I was given is that it was purchased by a couple of guys to play with at auto-x/ maybe Mission etc. Didn't look like it would pass BC registration, as it still had no fenders on the wheels, and it was pulled in a toy hauler. MSpeed 5 gave me the rundown, I'm sure he can confirm the exact details.

Spotted some nice rides this weekend. Newish bright orange Viper pulling out of Tillicum Mall onto Burnside. Huge spoiler.

Also a silver NSX with what looked like a widebody kit and stock wheels on Richmond/Landsdowne.

I also saw this guy on Helmcken (I was in the stealth Altima) and followed him to where he turned left on Burnside. Isn't the Banchee a 2 stroke? This one sounded like about a 450 4 stroke. Man, he was taking a risk with that thing on the road like that- no insurance, no registration = no ATV pretty quick if you get caught. I can't believe he went that far on the street.
