As far as a collector kit goes, 50K really isn't that bad.
M9-P - $8500
50mm F0.95 Asph - $11000
Each summicron around $4200
Total ~$28000
The Hermes bag, if available to purchase separately, I'd guesstimate no less than 4k considering they could sell a tote canvas bag for $2000+
Add the Hermes leather strap, body cover for the M9P, you would look at easily $35k+ if these parts were available at retail. Then factor in the limited edition, silver version for the 3 lenses (I don't recall Leica selling them, the only one I'm aware of is the silver 50mm summilux, and even that is quite rare) I don't think asking $50k is unjustifiable.
I'm not saying it's worth the 50k price, but for the market Leica is targeting with these limited edition cameras, it's really nothing.

ok just had to share this here instead of the mobile thread :P yes another nokia post by me i know you guys have probably grown tired of them
but this is just awesome; this is from a regular user (not a professional production crew) who's always recording stunning videos with his Nokia N8 well he got his hands on the new 808 pureview and here's his first video
he isnt using any lens attachments or using any post processing like he does with his N8 this is all just straight from the 808
not dslr awesome obviously but for a phone pretty damned sweet (although people say its better than a 5D2 and pana GH2)
just updated the firmware on my 5D 2 to v2.1.2. good stuff!
Optimizes the camera's performance when using certain UDMA 7-compatible CF cards released in February 2012 or later.
Enhances the AF system performance with the addition of 46 additional AF points for a total of 61
Increases viewfinder coverage to 100%
Expands the size and increases the resolution the rear LCD
Delivers an additional 1 MP of sensor resolution for a total of 22 MP
cool video this picture is kind of related this is what a cameraphones lens looks like (they cut the module in half) obviously blown up with a microscope
the top of the image is the front/outside, the bottom is the back where the sensor is
carl zeiss says theres 10x more precision in this compared to their dslr lenses (since its so tiny the slightest mistake would be magnified so it needed to be more precise something along those lines)
Got my first offer to shoot an event. It's for a debut (similar to quinceanera) - how much is a fair asking price? As much as I want to charge a lot, I'm not gonna but I don't wanna be lowballed either.
I am in the market for flash triggers. I've previously used Cactus V2s and V4. They are not the most reliable triggers and was wondering if you guys have any alternatives for it.
I have Elinchrom lighting and skyport trigger but heard that it's not that greatest for flash (at least for my Sigma 530). Anyway, any recommendation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Is there any advice to preparing photos for printing? My monitors are color calibrated, and I find when I get the photos printed, they are good for colors, matching what I wanted the colors to be. But the overall photo is slightly darker than what I would like. I'm thinking it might have something to do with my monitors being glossy so it looks brighter on my screen than what it actually is?
I'm using lightroom, so what settings would I use to brighten it up before bringing for printing? Just brightness? Or another setting?
