Might be willing to part ways with my x-t10 along with a 35mm f/2 and a mangled 16-50 kit lens if I am happy with my new camera purchase.... which comes in a week :fullofwin: Quote:

Thanks for the advice everyone, much appreciated. |
Looking at picking up a film camera to play around with film for a bit. Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe even something small and pocketable like the Contax T2. Doesn't necessarily have to be a SLR. edit: ended up getting a Olympus XA to play around with |
Suggestions on an entry-level camera with an interchangeable lens for a beginner in photography. Mainly for streetscape/cityscape. Budget is around $300, a bit on the low end, can be new or used. Or if there's anything a bit above the budget that is okay to suggest too. Thanks! |
Sony NEX-5 with 18-55mm lens looks like someone already recommended a Fuji. honestly I would save up above $500 before jumping in. It's hard to get something on a budget that isn't old and outclassed by newer phones. |
How's the XT2 for video? I finally sold off my 6D and don't have a camera that does video well. Compared to my 6D to XT1 wasn't that great. I don't need it much but I really would prefer to have that option. But I also don't want to invest in 2 systems, was thinking either XT1 + RX100 or just the XT2. |
rx100iv overheats easily in video |
So, got my a6000 with kit lens a little while back and been playing around with it. Looking at what lens to get now to further my experience with the camera. Not looking to break the bank. Camera usually just comes out for special occasions and vacations. From. What I read, should be looking at getting a prime 30mm, 35mm, or 50mm prime lens? Trying to compare Sony prime lenses versus Sigma prime lenses. Anyone able to offer their input from their experiences on what would be good to get first? |
there's a lens thread basically try zooming in at those different ranges on your kit lens and see what you'll use the most. 50 on a sony crop is 75...which is basically only good for portraits. i would have good look at the sigma 1.4/30 |

I shoot video with a X-T2 and GH4. I prefer the GH4 but the X-T2's video quality is excellent. Lots of adapter options for lenses too. |
Maybe when I do more video work I'll invest in another system but for now I think the XT2 will be good enough :D |
This camera is impossible to find... new or used Y_Y. Bccamera said 3-4 weeks even after preordering :( |
a good indication you're buying a good product when production cant keep up with demand I've waited 4 months for the mavic quadcopter from AMazon...also 4 months for a batis lens from B&H |

Does anyone know a local store that sells a waterproof case for a Yi 4K action cam? Got the camera as a gift and hoping to use it this weekend but would like it protected, dont have time for online orders |

Anyone have the A7II, How is it? Very tempting as I can use my Nikon MF glass and add a AF adapter on it too. |

lack of joystick/touchscreen is certainly a drawback |

Coming from a DSLR i know mirrorless batteries don't hold to a light. I personally haven't had an issue with battery life. I guess it depends on your photography style... if you're shooting all day (i.e events) I can see it being an issue. For the casual user like me, it pretty much lasts all day. I brought my camera on vacation with me and took frequent pictures + used the wifi for wireless remote. By the time I got back to my hotel room around 7/8pm I still had about 30% battery. I keep a battery pack with me as well in case i do run out of battery, really love being able to charge the camera via USB. |
