What happens in Vegas - 7/10

StylinRed 02-07-2010 05:40 AM

This Is It (michael jackson)

7/10 would have been nice for more "behind the scenes" like off-set

but it was awesome seeing how much of a dedicated artist he is
if you notice he didn't joke around it was all 100% serious business

felt kind of bad that i dont try anywhere near as hard as he does in my own endeavors

mako 02-07-2010 07:49 AM

^ wow, so very introspective of you :D

mako 02-07-2010 07:51 AM

Dark Knight

watched it for the first time since watching it the first time at IMAX

10/10

Ledger was simply amazing. amazing

liu13 02-07-2010 10:31 AM

the hurt locker 8/10 felt a bit familiar at times but some great cinematography

martyrs - 9/10 - blown away, very disturbing at first but interesting nonetheless

aliens - 9/10 - far better than avatar, a lot of noticeable similarities, but better done

wouwou 02-07-2010 01:47 PM

the informant! 6/10
New York I Love You 6.5/10
The Hurt Locker 7/10, Barrett .50 scenes are bad ass!

storm warriors 2 - 4/10

boring, slow, useless villain/new characters, shitty plot, no dialogue, slow-motion "300" style overkill, overall trash

i loved the first one though, it was waaaay better without all the fancy effects

skyxx 02-08-2010 02:10 PM

Bodyguards and Assassin's 8/10
The Hurt Locker 8/10

hi-revs 02-08-2010 07:05 PM

new york i love you 6.5/10
i thought the stories were all tied in together. but noooo it was just short clips. thought it was epic gay cause i thought it would tie in all together.

Good Hair (chris rock documentary on hair) 6.5/10

Daybreakers 7.5/10, like the diff take on it.

Inglorious bastards (brad pitt) 8/10 wasn't into the fighting too much but i did like the story and the german general.Christoph Waltz deserved to be nominated for best support. we'll see how that goes.

Dear John - 6/10

woooo 02-09-2010 08:58 PM

Got around to watching two movies that I heard good things about

Boondock Saints 7.5/10 stylish at times, goofy at others
JCVD - 7/10 childhood fanboy of bloodsport probably clouds vision but intelligent twist on a repetitive actor that was getting stale

PDKGD3 02-09-2010 10:35 PM

The Storm Warriors (sequel) - 5/10
Nostalgic. But its not that great of a production

To Live and Die in Mongkok - 7/10
Nick Cheung is a good actor, but putting him in this sort of role ruined it for me. The movie was all over the place, although enjoyable.
