Well hopefully that turns the direction of all this she-boss/woke centric garbage Disney has been putting out lately.

It seems like WB has learned from that mistake with their new CEO, I hope Disney does the same.

I don't mind "she boss" characters at all. Love them in fact. It's when every single male character is a complete fucking retard when a show completely falls apart. Because you can tell they are writing the characters out of spite rather than making interesting characters you want to love or hate (or love to hate).

probably the BEST CHINESE movie of all time.
1) must go see
2) hilarious scripting
3) superb cast
4) ending, climax, NG scenes at the end... everything was fantastic.

The entire movie was shot inside a house and all characters surrounds sitting down for dinner. Extremely well written and there are some hilarious physical humor which i thought was 99% based on which wasn't.

Really loved it and I took my inlaws 70 yr old and my CBC niece 13 and she thought it was great even though she never watches honger movie.

very sweet family movie and don't let the stephen chow type trailer make u think it's all about pee and poop.

10/10. Must see movie 2022 / of all time.

I went to see this tonight with my wife and we both really enjoyed the movie. we both went in not knowing what the plot was other than recognizing some of the members of the cast from previous movies.

Like 6793026, this was a 10/10 for for us. Really good story and character development and a showcase of Hong Kong culture and neat references.

Movie is in Cantonese with Chinese (traditional) and English subtitles. I felt that the English dub/translation was very well done and a North American audience would understand and appreciate. I personally would recommend it to others.

holy crap, there was nothign to watch so we watched this.
so many loop holes. It was really bad but we had no other movies to watch.

6/10
Freddie Prinze Jr. for once i'm seeing an actor without botox. He aged well and no botox around the eyes, none on forehead.

Aimee Garcia... no idea who she was... and she was crap but all in all it was watchable.
i thought she was old timer pussy cat doll fade away....

super legit; based on a true story.
It's tough to see families torn apart as refugees and as a parent, what you have to do and when to let go.
1/2 thru it and man it's good and deep with a bit of intensity.
Let's see how this plays out but great ratings so far.
Solid 2 hr movie.

Violent Night 8/10

It's a fantastic, bloody Christmas movie with shattered bones and crushed skulls. David Harbour is Santa Claus, and he's a drunk Santa that's done with this shit. I saw it with my wife and my sister and her husband. We thought it was hilarious and well done.

Apocalypse Now (theatrical cut) 9/10 (maybe even 9.5)

First time ever watching this, got a 4k DTS surround version.

Lived up to its immense hype. The set pieces knowing it was all practical and no CGI is unimaginable.

The cinematography is outstanding, nearly every shot is so well done and thought through. I imagine it was quite revolutionary at that time as many shots look as modern if not better than some of the best cinematography today.

Sound design and mix in the version I saw was so good in my home theater system. The helicopters, jungle noises, bullets, arrows, enveloped the viewer.

The acting and story was great on first watch, but I believe it will take multiple watches to truly appreciate it.

The only performance I was iffy about was Dennis Hopper's, I think he took it a bit too far, almost comical.

yup amazing movie. I watched the re-release in a theater in the early 2000's whenever that was. I think Hopper's character works because people like that really exist lol

Everything Everywhere All at Once
9.5/10

I really liked Michelle Yeoh's performance in this complimented by Jamie Lee Curtis and the rest of the main cast. It sort of reminds me of the "Fucked up shit made you laugh" thread in the NSFW forum.

We really enjoyed this sequel! It looked great in IMAX 3D. James Cameron built a fantastic world. Prepare your bladder because you don't want to miss anything.

Tàr 8/10

Brilliant acting and cinematography. A bit slow and long winded at the beginning but picks up after. Will likely be nominated for many Oscars.

Not necessarily a movie but saw Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoast last night at the Princess of Wales Theatre. I never really cared for musicals, live plays and the like, but this was a pretty good production. I still have no idea what the hell the musical was about. Having said that, 9/10. Lots of amazing talent and the kids in the play performed well beyond their age. These productions don't come around very often.

What a slog of a movie. First one was definitely better.

It'll be interesting to read the stuff that was retconned into the story over the last 13 years here, as the story was extremely disjointed.

We were utterly bored throughout, the corny dialog actually made some people beside me start laughing at certain parts of the movie

Best VFX I've ever seen though. It's actually a shame those graphic artists put so much work into such a subpar story and film.

I've been waiting for this sequal for a long time now, what a disappointment.

If you can turn your brain off and just enjoy it for the visuals, go for it, a 3.5 hour long tech demo.

Iconic singer, if you lived in the 90's and 2000's decades and remember Whitney Houston singing or performing ... she was one of the best. But the story of her life .... no other word than tragic.
