What are motomachi or benkei? Ramen places? better or worse than kintaro?

VrrM604 01-26-2009 10:33 PM

i went to benkei tonight, didn't bother checking out kintaro cause they probably would have sold out

LiquidTurbo 01-31-2009 09:21 AM

I went to the 2$ ramen around 5pm. There was no lineup! After taxes it was $2.10!! Epic win.

benkei>kintaro, their noodles are so much better! and the soup is so delicious. benkei ftmfw

lonelydriver 02-02-2009 11:30 PM

It seems the people who wait in line for Kintaro ends up going to Benkei..

Jer3 02-03-2009 12:33 AM

kintaro > motomachi > benkei. benkei has decent shio but the miso is so bland. dislike the cha siu they use as well. their onigiri is good however.

HonestTea 05-26-2009 11:34 PM

Anyone know if Kintaro is still open?

If so, which days do they close? Is it still just Monday or..??

Which is better? Kintaro or Benkei Ramen?

K-Dub 05-26-2009 11:45 PM

Culture_Vulture 05-26-2009 11:50 PM

I really like it at first but it becomes way too hard to eat later on. Sits heavy in your stomach too.

~designer_rice~ 06-02-2009 08:37 AM

What's disappointing is that noodle/ramen restaurant that used to be on Thurlow and Alberni St. (next to McDonalds) is closed and now is some other joint.
