Oakridge Tailor told me today that if I wanted the crotch of my N&F fixed up they'd be ready after Christmas because they're so backed up. Alternative tailor suggestions?

Figure I'd post this here in case any of you are interested! ForbiddenX, along with some other guys, have started a line of urban techwear and they're up on Kickstarter right now. The denim is really innovative and made in Japan, I would definitely check it out. I did the branding for them and am really stoked on their whole company, support your local brands! Second Narrow: Perfect Jeans, Made in Japan, Water Resistant by Jordan Caron ? Kickstarter |

I love the colour and tonal stitching of the J-cut, too bad it's not available in the tapered cut model.

I think with Kickstarter you do get your money back if it isn't funded.
Those boots are W+H x Dayton Service if I'm not mistaken.

More pics from the J-Cut here. I'm debating whether to get the J-Cut or Tapered at this point. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater |

this may sound really odd, but has anyone ever had a pair of jeans altered to be a different size? my first pair of raw denims ended up being a lot more loose than i had originally wanted. the second pair i got fits a lot better. is it possible to alter the thigh, knee, and leg opening to be slimmer?
TIA

TIA | Given the amount you would have to alter, it would be better to buy a new pair and size correctly this time. Even if you alter it, since the tailor would have to essentially completely rip apart the denim and sew it back together, it might not turn out how you think it would.
Knee down wouldn't be hard but I don't recommend tailoring if you have to get the whole inseam redone (thigh, knee, hem).

Picked up a new pair of jeans from my trip to Japan.
Decided wash the NFs after the trip too. 3 years, 2 washes. Probably 9-12 months effective wear. Crotch repaired/reinforced in Year 2. Probably a bit darker IRL. |
