I believe I saw your bike parked on pender and howe this noon. I'm starting to like old school bikes now... I especially like the 91 gixxer 750 that someone had posted on here.

Nope. Wasn't me. But I was riding through downtown today. =)

^ where did you get your turn signals from and how much where they?

voices 04-23-2008 11:20 AM

^ and what kind of pipe is that?
is that your track bike?

kitsune 04-23-2008 11:28 AM

^
Isn't it an Akrapovic exhaust?

Kinda off topic, but anyone have experience with the Yoshimura pipes?

They're all the same (yosh, hindle, akra, etc etc) really. Pick the one you think looks best.

Noizz 04-23-2008 03:41 PM

yoshis typically don't make as much power than the higher end full system exhausts (akra, arrow)

$800 f/s (yosh) vs $1300 f/s (akra). i think yoshis are more street tuner biased (sound, looks)

but if u want something to track with go with the akras, arrows, leo vince, arata

did u get the evolution system da_teg? mid pipe looks Ti

RRxtar 04-23-2008 04:42 PM

correct, its an Akropovic Evolution system. everything is titanium on it. header, midpipe, muffler except for the end cap which is carbon fiber.

this is what the headers looked like before i started it the first time
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../aIMG_0704.jpg

ill try to remember to take a picture of the headers when i get back from my next ride. they are all blue and gold now.

its on my streetbike which also doubles as my track bike.

yoshimura isn't one of the best companies but they are definitly very very good. the thing is, for 90% of riders, pick the one you think looks the best and sounds the best and that you can afford. they all make within a couple hp of eachother.

if i didnt get my system brand new on sale for about $500 below what i should have paid, there would be no way i would have bought it. that kind of money is just rediculous.

and FYI, i also have a filter, velocity stacks, gutted airbox, power commander and a custom map from a few hours on the dyno. shits expensive!

Spec V 04-23-2008 04:48 PM

i like the yoshi japan exhaust. the details on the carbon are way better than the yoshi usa. plus its 100bux cheaper than the yoshi usa

they were just some cheap signals hanging on the wall at a local bike shop. i dont think they were more than about $20. i know you can get em on ebay too. i made little brackets to mount them to an existing hole in my subframe. i think they look great. clean look and almost unnoticable when they are off but very bright when they blink.
