Just wanted to start a thread for all Mario Kart Wii players on revscene.
Talk about anything from: Maps+Shorcuts/Time Attack/Strategy/Items/Controls/Karts/Bikes and most important, leave your friend codes. I just started playing today, I love how theres no lag compared to the brawl wfc. LETS GET UR KART ON!!!:haha:

man i dont get how u can play on the wheel ... i played it once damn i ended up last 4 times haha and i only played 4 times with the wheel then i just threw it to the side and never going back to it

what's the point of playing mario kart wii if you ain't gonna use the wiimote?? that defeats the whole purpose of the wii... go back to playing gc if u can't steer :P

wiimote+knunchuck works beautifully for me. the wheel just didnt do it for me

i hate the wheel... i use classic controller... love it =D

why dont you guys like the wheel =( It makes it more challenging and is not really hard use. Took me like a hour to get used to. btw which character u guys use and which kart or bike? I prefer kart over bike because I can get the red flame drift boost =D On a bike you cant :(

Bought this yesterday and checked it out with the wheel for all races. There was no getting used to, I came in first on my first race. Haven't tried without the wheel so far.

I finally bought the Wii, and I also bought Mario Kart Wii with it..

I'm slowly learning how to play with the Wheel, but with auto hehe...

awsome!! enjoying the game so far?? I really love the trick system,, makes it more enjoyable with the wheel.

its sort of uncomfortable to hold items behind you w/ the wheel

i miss jumping, getting around red shells is a lot harder now

is it even possible to get rid of the red shell.... it locks on to me like crazy and keeps following unless i make a sharp turn around a corner so the red shell hits the wall instead of me

either have 1 banana dragging from your back and wait til the red shell come close then release it or shoot out a green shell to deflect it. The best to avoid red shells is dragging the 3 banana item.

I just got a flashback of MK1 for SNES.. one of my favourite all time games!!

The wheel: sucks
The rocket: awesome... rocket to some tard at the end of the race: shitty

Lightening: Regardless of if you are in front or behind the person who uses it, you get zapped? I swear some guy in front of me used it, and I got zapped?

Once you reach 6000 points plus, is it safe to assume you are now grouped with players who are at about the same level? Hence, the races are harder to win and you are now playing A LOT of Japs?

I use the gc controller, much easier :). I dont have a wii but my friend does and that the only game I like for wii

Isn't there a way to deflect the red shell without having anything behind you?
