would you say Morton is better than Gotham?
Gotham is like 50% better than Keg (to me)
if you say Morton is better, i will give that a try

I'd say just try whatever catches your eye off the menu
Looks like you already tried my favourite roll, the Spicy Cactus
There's also the other type of 'balls' - Hotate Yaki and Ebi Yaki that are pretty good
They once had a special on Pumpkin Ball but I haven't seen it ever since and I'm kicking myself for not ordering it that day

Where is Hakkasan? There is a famous restaurant in London with that name.

Was in Steveston exploring and taking pics yesterday, so I stopped at Shady Island Bar & Grill for some fish and chips.

Got the 2 piece halibut fish and chips. Was so so, but the servings were huge. (think of a 8"x8" piece of fish x 2 and fries underneath) $18.99 for the 2 piece.

Fish was alright. Seemed pretty fresh but wasn't a big fan of the batter. (it almost looked breaded rather than your traditional dipped in batter kind) Was definitely too much food for one person. Also had their chowder which was pretty good.

Overall rating:
Fish: 7/10
Chowder: 8.5/10

Would have went to PaJo's since I heard good things about it but it was closed when I went by there.

Guu on Thurlow

- Ordered the standard and usual pumpkin croquette, shark fin salad, oden and ahi tuna. Also got the stewed pork with daikon which was very sweet and rich - a good dish if you like pork belly. Usually get the kimchi fried rice and yaki udon as fillers which both simple yet very guud in its own way but opted not to today
- Always have a good time here cause of the food and atmosphere
- Overall 9.5/10

Bao Chau

- Large #1 Beef special noodles - soup was salty, meat was plentiful but there was a piece of hair in it. 7/10 but 2/10 with a piece of hair in it
- Vermicelli with spring rolls, grilled pork and the pork sausage. 8/10
- Spring rolls. The filling was mushy compared to other prices I've tried but the crispiness of the spring roll was just right. Sauce that came with it was very sweet and spicy which I liked. 7/10
- Overall I'd give it a 6/10 as there's many other Vietnamese restaurants around town to try.

Hesitant about giving it a review but this place is a little gem. A japanese restaurant actually run and operated by japanese people.
- Ordered the california roll, dynamite roll, scallop roll, negitoro roll, sweet miso baked eggplant, and beef yaki udon.
- Presentation of sushi was beautiful and the taste was all there. However I find the cooked foods to be lacking.
- Go for the sushi or have it taken out and don't bother with the cooked food unless you order the regular teriyaki or tempura
- Overall 9/10 looking forward to going back
