G-men in Richmond

Tried this place out for the first time..

Shoryu (Soy Sauce) 6/10 Was too salty!

Shio 8/10 Much better. Preferred this one by a lot.

The soupless one (Can't remember the name) 8/10. It looks bland, but the taste was very good.

I'd return for sure. Nice alternative to Ramen Santouka.

Nikon D40. I don't have a good macro lens though. The lens I have is supposed to be used for mostly landscapes.

Went to this place today.

Didn't really like it. Have had much better beef tendon soup. 5/10.

Went to Primo's Mexican Grill today.

Really nice ambience:

Complimentary Chips and Salsa (Salsa was fresh and delicious!)

Fajita:

I forget what this thing was called, but it was great. Stuffed peppers with cheese.

Condiments

Overall a 9/10. I had a very pleasant experience there. The waiter was very nice and wasn't overbearing. The food was tasty and the salsa was great. I would def go back. It's like a slightly more upscale version of Las Margaritas.

West Beach Bar and Grill:

Salmon Penne (6/10)

Cheeseburger w/ Poutine 7.5/10

Burger was really good, the patty was really nice and juicy. Overall not a bad place to eat at White Rock. Prices are really decent compared to other places.

Finished off with White Mountain Ice Cream:

9/10. Really good freshly made frozen yogurt.

the service was good. the restaurant definitely looks better than your usual chinese/asian place. i would say its basically decent asian food with improved service that comes with a higher price tag

i'd go again, but i can go elsewhere for good asian food

Awards from whom? Is it from local Chinese newspaper or magazine reviewers, or those idiot food 'reviewers' at the Georgia Straight or Vancouver Magazine who seem to know next to nothing about ethnic (mostly Asian) foods?
