A player in the dressing room saying something profound would/might inspire the team. Luongo, the team captain? Does he have what it takes to get the team fired up? Sundin? Kesler?
As for this season, I believe it was a big success.

I'd actually be very happy if they just made it to the 3rd round. | this is sad.

As for this season, I believe it was a big success. | According to Brian Burke, that Al Pacino speech is the closest thing to what is said behind the doors.

Of course winning the cup will be the EPIC WIN, but 3rd round, something they haven't done since 1994, will be enough to keep me satisfied and feel the team is acutally going forward. Quote:

There's a bright future for this team and thats something we havn't had in years!!! | I don't know how far off in the future you're talking about?
Since the 2003 playoffs when Canucks lost to the Wild, I haven't seen a better oppurtunity to get the cup since. I'm pretty sure next season, the teams gonna be quite diffferent in terms of roster. Canucks could possibly go in rebuilding mode again. Quote:

Canucks simply had chances to win the games.
Although a retarded game strategy, they almost pulled through a 1-0 win to make it a 3-1 series lead... but they didn't.
There's no momentum going for Canucks right now. Especially not only from the bitter loss of game 4, but now they can't even win at home.
So realistically, there is acutally no momentum going in Canucks direction right now. And they are playing in Chicago now...
I'll have to be bullshitting if I were to say I wasn't worried.

It's hard to say if Lu will stay or go. It's so hard to judge Lu from his comments because sometimes when I hear him speak I think he doesn't give a shit about the team but other times he seems beyond passionate. I think at the end of the day it'll come down to the money, the terms and his family.
The thing I'm sort of worried about now is the fall out with the Sedins if this series ends today. I know for a fact that the media will go after the Sedins and how they disappeared in this series and couldn't win the big games for the team. They already mentioned this topic on the radio and I’m sure the Sedins will be a hot topic for the local media for weeks to come. How much that will play into their discussion to stay remains to be seen and hinges on this series.

I think momentum's overrated in the playoffs. It's more about adjustments, esp with two even teams.
The season's overall been successful, but Quenneville's widely out-coached AV so far this series and that is the big disappointment. There's been enough opportunities there for us to be up 3-2 instead of down. Let's see what he does for Game 6.

Let's see what he does for Game 6. | That's what the players and coaches claim but its quite obvious that momentum is in Chicago's favor big time. Ever since game 4 they've been riding a high.

Momentum can never be underrated.
One shift can make a big difference within a game,
and one game can make a big difference within a playoff series.
The teams in my opinion are not equal. Maybe on paper, but not on ice. Blackhawks are the better team. Like some have said, Canucks aren't playing defense, they seem to be trying to ride out a storm. Especially in the first 10 mins of every game.
I never see Canucks trying to make the Blackhawks look like they are riding out a storm. Making their defense look helpless, with constant attacking in their end of the ice. Canucks just come in, maybe get a good bounce here and there, take the lead, then trap and ride out the blackhawk storm... There's your "high percentage hockey" BS.
