When's your guess that this will be done? |
No timeline. It gets done when it gets done. Still a fair amount of fabbing for the rear end. |
Hahaha this is so awesome! Hope your rear end all lines up, I want to see this thing! :D |
the rear end will line up to the shaft, juuuuuuuuuust fine. |
And to think, I thought this was going to be one of those projects where every one is really excited but once everything is torn apart the interest is lost... Way to prove me wrong! This project is looking awesome |
small update: Im collecting all the turbo gear right now. Front mount is on the way, Ordered it locally, but the shop never came through so had to order it through some boys at realhomemadeturbo.com but its finally on the way. i was thinking about moving up to a tubular turbo manifold, but that entails spending entirely way too much money, so im going to be selling off the HF to T25 adapter plate and ordering up a HF to T3 and going to pick up another holset, possibly a H1C this time. Yes i have some sort of crazy fetish with large diesel turbos. with the mini coming up to completion im going to have more updates on this project hopefully to the point of completion this year. There is a lot on my plate right now, but ill get it done. stay tuned |
*giggles uncontrollably* |
Hmmmm, thats bringing back memories of me doing that swap back in the mid 90's...or was that the v6 in the back seat swap??? Shawn |
your doign zc swap thought you loved v tec |
Very cool project, although I cringe at seeing another RT4WD wagon biting the dust, it’ll be neat when its done and in the car. Something I’m confused about, why are you using the old Integra head? If I remember right, doesn’t the 88-92 DOHC ZC head have much larger ports better suited to boost? Or is this just a “what we had laying around” kind of idea? Just a side note, I don’t think those guys on Honda tech where the first. Ages ago there was a AWD CRX built with a Turbo GSR motor and CRV parts. I belive the car was out of Quebec. Not sure what ever happened to it though. |
Definetely one of those "what we had lying around" kind of idea. We are trying (and succeding) to build the car for sweet F.A. I ported and polished the head, so hopefully it should flow. |
Ahhh, I envy you. To have the skills, parts and time to jump into a “stuff we had laying around” build. Very cool. excited to see the outcome! |
awesome work! that trans tunnel looked fun to fit... +1 for the H1C, though the HX35 is fine too, I guess. :P |
I hope Kaitlyn doesn't see this... |

Motor out and on the stand. Cleaned up and re-torqued the bottom end. Started gathering the little bits and pieces that we are missing. Only thing we seem to be missing is a obd-0 Idle air and the upper water neck on the head. Im gonna get the cam seals, water pump and t-belt on tomorrow, get the valves set, and get the MPFI swap done on the engine side. i got the oil pan all cut up and will dropping it off to my buddy's dad tomorrow so he can weld up the notch so the t-case clears. no pics tonight, i was just plugging away. ill get some tomorrow. |
what happen with the project ? it stops on page 3 |
we've been busy. its still in the shop. |
dead project? |
Never dead. Life happened. It'll get done. |
Hey stranger. How goes the project? |
Interested in update as well! |
y u no update :yuno: |
There is currently a 1959 Mercedes 190 diesel tying up my work bay. When that leaves, and hopefully soon, then work will resume and the next few updates should have a running vehicle. |
And we are back on it. Updates and pics to follow. |
