Well my gpa for the summer semester was under 2 and got an email saying that if my gpa goes under 2 again, I'm gonna be on academic probation. You guys have any suggestions of what to take that are easy so I can boost back my gpa for the next semester?

Currently registered in:
Arch 100
IAT 267
Kin 140 (waitlist #24, doubt I'll get in this one)

What do you guys think about the courses I currently have?
Thanks a lot!!

Stop being a lazy ass and actually study.

Post secondary isn't for everyone. I would suggest to re-evaluate why you're there in the first place. If it isn't for your own betterment then I would take some time off to figure out what you would want to do.

Aren't you on AP after getting lower than 2.0? Two consecutive semesters of that and you get academic suspension (read: booted from the school), or did they change it?

Fucking SFU man.

I registered in a class way back in July, and when I did the class was OPEN and HAD SEATS.

I put myself on waitlist for a tutorial I wanted, now its september (almost) and I'm not in the class, and ALL the tutorials are full, and the woman I called said there's nothing she can do about it. Now she's telling me not to buy the textbook and that I might need to drop the class. WTF. This is some bullshit.

Ikkaku 08-30-2011 08:08 PM

yeahhh the people that work at sfu are quite useless... like when I first transferred to SFU lol

I supposedly transferred to SFU (conditioned acceptance via transfer) but they gave zero updates on my situation (and this was like a week before classes start), so I called the administration to see whats up. I told them I had enrolled in classes at Langara in case they didn't accept me, and they told me I had to opt out of Langara classes because of conflict between institutions?? They also said I was not guaranteed I would actually be able to enroll in SFU either, so it was a gamble. Their advice is to attend the classes at SFU, but if they actually decline my application, they would tell me to leave with nothing.

Luckily everything went through and I graduated from that shithole :lol

I'm still waiting on a class that I've been sitting in the waitlist for since my registration back in July-only 2nd in the waitlist, but the class was open too. I actually got put into a class I was waitlisted for last month, even though I was near the bottom for the class, but first for the tutorial.

The SFU system of registering is busted:failed:

I want to kill them. This is seriously bullshit.

Does anyone know what the requirements are to get into the SFU golden key society?

I know I need to be the top 15% of my program, but do I need to take a certain amount of credits, or do they just base it on every 30 credits you take?
