Keep an eye out on the SIS cause more spots could potentially open up.

A friend of mine had her registration on the 21st and 345 was full (in the morning) then in the evening like 20 spots or so opened up and she was able to get in

So happy no more course registrations for a long while, not that it bugged me much having first pick at everything lol

Any econ majors get screwed by the lack of available upper level courses. All I could get was econ 290 and the prof used to be my TA for econ 102. She is awful but I have no choice but to take her since all the other classes are filled.

Can anyone tell me how the enrollment dates are allocated amongst students?

I have been told that those on athletic teams and who are on scholarships get first pick and then enrollment dates are based on the amount of credits you currently have.

Can any one verify if this is true ?

If you looked at the SFU website you know it is true.

You forgot to factor in GPA.

From my years of observation, it goes something like this.

Scholarship/athletic teams > first years > credits > GPA

So if you are not in first year and only have like 20 credits with a GPA of less than 3.5, you are shit out of luck. This totally puts the students who transfer in from college at a disadvantage because while the credits they transfer in from college counts towards the degree, it doesn't count towards the counting for picking classes.

You can say it is "being fair" as full SFU students have first pick over college transfers.

The_AK 03-25-2012 10:28 PM

Also, are there any places with wifi and coffee open 24 hours near/around SFU? Going to shower real quick, maybe nap and then study some more before midterm. Really want to get this midterm in the bag
