Best Deals for Protein Supplements

I picked up a jug of Optimum Whey 5lb from SVNCanada (Fuel Sports Nutrition) for $49.95 + tax.

https://www.svncanada.com/cart_produ...?id=390&type=1

Is there a better deal out there? I'll go through 5lb in 2 weeks..

If you keep an eye on supplementscanada.com you'll occasionally find deals for 3 5lbs tubs for $124 or something like that.

You should really reevaluate your diet though, if you're going through that much whey so quickly. Ever eat any real food?

Yah, 8 meals per day, four of those include shakes. I'm not a small dude, so I need more protein than an average guy.

^ Buddy, I weigh 330lb. How the hell am I gonna go through enough solids in a day to meet my protein intake (1g of protein for every lb.) without doubling my protein shake consumption?

I'm already eating 8 meals per day, nearly every meal consisting of protein, complex carbs, and veggies.

Trust me, I'm eating enough.

lots of meat, lean turkey has lots of protein in it, tuna, lean ground beef, 5 table spoons has like 32 grams of protein it, there is lots of ways to get protein without going nuts on shakes

no 3 or 4 scoops is pretty normal for someone who is working out

I do eat lots of meat, as a matter of fact, I calculate my daily protein intake, yet I still can't eat as much as i can drink. My body can only absorb so much protein per meal before it converts it to energy. I average 2 chicken drums per meal, and without drinking 4 shakes (2 scoops each), I won't come anywhere close to 290-310g of protein per day.

Think of it this way, it's much easier for average guys to eat and consume than for a big guy like me that needs to eat more to keep his protein consumption in place..

160g vs. 320g per daily intake is quite a huge difference, yet average joes always complain about consumption, what about me?

Here's a sample,
By following what you guys suggest based on my body type, 4 scoops x 25g of protein each would be equivalent to 100g of protein per day from shakes..

330lb(g) - 100g = 230g of protein needs to be from solid food

well, an average size chicken drumstick only has 12g of protein each with no skin and bone based from the data here.. http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/p...products/712/2

so if i need 230g of protein in addition to my protein shake consumption (100g), i would need to eat roughly 20 drumsticks per day, based on this calculation 230g protein requirement (from solids)/12g of protein per drumstick = roughly 20 drums..

well, if you can eat 20 drumsticks worth of food in one day, surely let me know, cause i will do it with you.

Obviously a person is not gonna eat solely drumsticks for their entire diet plan, but it goes to show how much more food I need to consume than the average person if i don't double my protein shake intake.

After calculating the cost of shipping and duty at the border, excluding my time and cost of gas to go all the way down to Pt. Robert, it's actually more expensive to buy it off that site.

You're better off purchasing locally.

How did you get it for $140 tax and shipping included? I can't manage to get it for that price even if I ship to Point Roberts.

Also, Does it mix well? How does it taste compared to ON 100% Whey? Is it sweet if it's unflavored?

https://www.trueprotein.com/Product_...id=22&pid=6842

$141.22 after 5% discount.

Its very similar to ON's, I always get the 'very berry strawberry' flavor.

TP.com is the best place to order for bulk, no customs/duty fee
