Which call centre job to take

I recently applied for CSR jobs at bell, rogers and telus and got interviews for all 3, now im trying to figure out which job to take (that is if all 3 decide to hire me, should know in a week)
Also I got an interview for Bell store

Bell and rogers pay roughly the same (15.xx/h +incentives) but working at bell i would have to pay for parking which is kind of a drag but at the same time bells call centre is so close to home (5-10 min)

Then there's telus, they pay 18.xx/h +incentives but i did some reading on RS and people said the experience was horrible, also there's pay for parking as well

Im leaning a bit towards rogers or bell store... what do u guys think? Bell store is at the downtown location so it should be pretty busy (meaning more commision)

I would take the telus job. I have a friend who works there. At the end of the day it's basically the same job for higher pay.

telus is diff. pleae double check but it's very very target oriented and you're measured highly on ur quota / numbers.

also, note that you're probably casual, then move up to part time, then permanent part time, then full time. etc.

all three is target oriented. only difference is you dont get paid for your sales at telus. there's no pressure to make sales cause you'll get paid your hourly no matter what.

Telus does pay for sales.

for landline yes...no mobility no. and from looking at what his starting wage is going to be, i'm guessing he applied for mobility.

you got some right, mobility has not sale incentive. But just a quick click to see posting:

Client Care Representative (Wireline)
$18.81 per hour plus sales incentives.

i'm looking at the telus career page and i see Client Care Representative – ROL00324-8 - $18.92 per hour plus a variable pay incentive. If this is the one you applied for, its the mobility side.

M Speed 11-02-2008 10:24 PM

why would you want to argue? I postedin my quote...it said WIRELINE and $18.81.

I already said you are right on mobility = no sale incentive. But my post also explicitly said WIRELINE and the starting wage....

You quoted me and said you were looking at the career page and posted a different wage.....so what is your point?

bui95 11-04-2008 12:17 AM

my point is mobility is $18.92 + variable incentive...same as your post of wireline is $18.81 + sales incentive. unlesss....your post had no point then i guess i dont have a point

i use to work at the bell call ctr. in the IT dept.
parking is free if u can find street parking, they treat reps pretty nice. get free phns ,(well i think rogers is the same for that)
many lunches and stuff paid by company,,specially christmas season, atm bell is not doing good, most of ur customers are gonna be from the east... if u get bell store, then go for that,, way better the being on the phone.
hope it helps
