tough fish, but must consider the following:

1. Change in temperature. it'll take DAYS with heat to transfer from your pond to indoor tank (pond temp 1 or 2 degrees vs indoor tank 20 degrees)
recommended temperature change is 1-2 degrees per day.
2. Cycled water. tough fish, but ammonia (nitrite, nitrate) and messy koi dont mix. As the matter of fact introducing a koi into an uncycled environment will crash the whole tank. (if you didnt balance the water temperature)

I would say its a little late to transfer, the temperature is way too harsh koi =(

well since no one posted pics, I'll do so

theyre harder to come by as they are a bit more sensitive when theyre this size compared to your regular red ear sliders. These guys are suppose to be aggressive when it gets larger, and they are considered as a delicacy in China. I got this little guy from a small pet shop on kingsway across from DQ. got 4 of them 3 died becuase they didnt eat =( He was the size of a dime, now hes about a loonie (about 1.5 years?). Definitely cute little bugger and will eat his half his weight in blood worms each day, and cant be mixed with fish that is his size =T
