It never went into detail on how brutal the smackings were. If it was just a pat on the bottom it shouldn't be anything to kill over, but 1000 hard smacks to the face would piss anybody off.

i wonder what the legal age to charge down in the states? i know the age of responsiblity in canada is 12 so he wouldnt be charged in Canada he would go through some seerious psychological help but no charges could be laid.

obviously the kid was twisted to begin with
if you ask any chinese kid how many times they were spanked, smacked growing up, i´m sure most of us would tell you the first 1000 would have been within the first 5 years
if this was normal, then there would be more dead asian parents than anything!
i always laugh when i see white parents tell their kids to go to "time out" LOL... time out, what a joke... go sit in a corner by yourself and THINK about what you did
