It could be that it never made it through ICBC's ticket quality control. IE. an error on the ticket, such as wrong fine amount, wrong section #, etc.... I've had a few returned to me to be re-served because i mis-read the tiny writing in the handbooks they provide us with and fill in the wrong fine amount or what have you. If you were never re-served, consider yourself spared a fine? You can always double check with a driver's service center to see if there are any outstanding fines or fees owing... | well the ticket says:
"Drive without consideration" "MVA ACT 144(1)(b)" "$196" Quote:

(2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) (a) or (b) is liable on conviction to a fine of not less than $100 and, subject to this minimum fine, section 4 of the Offence Act applies. | As I recall he gave me the ticket because "you went around that corner too fast and could have hit a jaywalker" "what jaywalker, there's noone around..." was a joke of a ticket so idk.
I'm not sure how to check the fine amount.
I've been out of the province since a few months after the ticket was issued and the car was transferred to my brother, but my parents have never said anything about an officer coming to the house trying to give me a ticket so...
Thanks gents, I guess the only real way to know is to wait and see if that's why it isn't on my abstract (cause I'm not gonna phone and ask). Fingers crossed ICBC doesn't ask for any extra money when I go to flip the insurance back in 6.5 weeks :haha: |
