8/10 its the current gen civics...

one night, it was 3/3. all 3 civics didn't have headlights on

and for hte other 2/10 its high beams on...

seriously, how stupid can some people be?

few weeks back when there was a lot of fog in richmond, a guy pulls out of a side street in front of me.

he was driving a tsx, no headlights on, in pretty damn heavy fog where you could barely see 5 ft in front of you.

guess what he does next?

turns on his highbeams...

Inaii 12-12-2008 01:18 AM

That's why I like the pop-up headlights (aside from thinking they look better) you'll never forget to turn them on! And if you do, you're silly and should give me your car :D

bikerx 12-12-2008 02:05 AM

my mom's 2000 camry has auto "dark" sensor so it turns on by it self and turns off by it self. ballaa!!!!! and its a base model... woot for toyota

Something about low beam/HID light wavelength that makes it less effective in rain/fog

Hence fog lights are 3000k yellow and cut right through fog/rain.

I figured sometimes it's because people r importing cars from the US now and they don't have DRL cuz sometimes it's a bone stock newish car but there's no DRL. I see people driving with no lights all the time now, if u flash ur high beams u might get run into a ditch and run over in todays day and age

Alatar 12-12-2008 06:29 PM

GM was doing that shit on cars back in the early 90s. You seem to think the auto-on headlights are a new thing, or something that imports developed.

lol thats y u blind them from behind with all 4 hids and let them realize that they didnt turn on their lights

Volvo-brickster 02-13-2009 10:38 PM

drivers are not to blame

the know it all government is to blame for making DRL's mandatory in 1991
the genius engineers for automotive companies to make auto headlights but not tail lights

too many features, too many options leads to crap like this

hk20000 02-13-2009 10:49 PM

^ auto headlights are supposed to turn on tail lights too.

Anyway I was surprised my rental Cobalt LS had auto lights whereas the Mazda6 I now swapped for hauling family doesn't.

but the Mazda6 has so many creature comfort bits that the Cobalt can't even dream to have on it it's no comparison.

MarkyMark 02-13-2009 10:54 PM

I always wondered why they made DRL's for the front, yet nothing for the rear. It would come in handy on days where it's pissing, or really foggy yet people don't turn their lights on cause it's daytime and they think they shouldn't have to.

!Aznboi128 02-13-2009 11:15 PM

love the hid glare on the 1st pic

!Tigger 02-14-2009 02:15 AM

I saw a damn Van with only its 3rd brake light working.... that pissed me off

tonyvu 02-14-2009 09:01 AM

reminds me... i still gotta replace my lights lol

Chicken Balls 02-14-2009 09:08 AM

cars that install HIDs on their car and do a lousy job of aiming them also pisses me off. Its like they aren't aimin to the ground but rather your face. If its really bad i just high beam them back with my HIDs to let em know thier lights are annoying.

MarkyMark 02-14-2009 12:02 PM

People who put HID's in any reflector housing are annoying...your car wasn't expensive enough to come with HID's stop trying to make it look like it was. Even if they are aimed properly they still suck compared to projectors.

crazyazn 02-14-2009 01:40 PM

hah..there was this Vigor with no brake lights working at all...

and last night this tempo had its high beams on behind me...so i slow down and follow it with my high beams on for a few minutes...then later i passed it and the driver still didnt get it

You turn on your lights during the day to be seen.

Truenosan 02-14-2009 07:45 PM

From the glare on the first pic, you can't even tell what kind of car it is lol

itchome 10-11-2010 11:55 PM

How true, even late into 2010 I still see a few drivers who neglect/forget to turn on their lights. As others mentioned above many of these newer Japanese models have daytime LED lighting up their console. Hence many drivers assume the outside (rear) lights are on as well. When will they ever learn??!!

TomBox_N 10-12-2010 07:03 AM

Bump from the dead. And no, they will not learn because they simply dun care.

Mugen EvOlutioN 10-12-2010 07:12 AM

i already gave up regarding this subject

wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many ppl drives around without any sort of light, in a dark night or pissing rain during the middle of the night

whatever, all i can pray is they crash into a pole

Datsun 10-12-2010 10:50 AM

I see people with one burnt-out light...and high beam the working one as if its a replacement.

Some old bitch around my area has done this for months so you can't say its temporary.
