Legal To Sell A Monkey? I dropped by this shop on Kingsway/Bursill in Vancouver (across from the Dairy Queen/Chevron) selling exotic aquatic animals like sting rays, cat fish and turtles... and then in the corner there was a cage with a monkey curled up in the middle of it. I looked in the by-laws of Vancouver but there doesn't seem to be anything that prohibits the sale of a primate. Anyone know this issue better than I do? Poor monkey... the shop looks kinda sketch too... |
i'm pretty sure its a no if they are selling primates. How big is it? it may not be a monkey, could be a sugar glider or something. Oh maybe you stumble upon the store owner's son. |
I believe you're allowed to sell ones that aren't endangered species. |
i want a pet monkey |

I'm pretty sure it is illegal to sell primates as pets. Animals such as these can only be sold to people that have licenses to have them. I could be wrong regarding primates. Best bet is to check with the SPCA in regards to rules about purchasing animals such as these. |
What is the name of this shop? |
It's a Ring Tailed Lemur right? I don't think he's selling it. |
Now i want a lemur. They just look kinda evil. Evil like when you wake up in the middle of the night and it is just sitting on your chest staring at you but you dont know what it is thinking and then slowing pull the blankets over you hear and hope it goes away. |
