wouldn't saying "I dont want..." more limiting because you're not including a certain category/type of people?

If you say "I prefer..." then that means you'll usually choose one type of person over another because of a specific quality. But that doesn't mean you won't choose the person of lesser... whatever if you were presented with that choice only.

I think everyone has a preference. It's only problematic when the perfect person is perfect in every way except he/ she is white (ie. you only like asians) and he/ she is ruled out solely based on that.

I don't mind racial preference if its a cultural conflict. Some cultures sexually repress their subjects, some cultures are liberal, etc.

i don't mind dating any type of girl as long as they're not ugly, stupid, and fat. i don't mean to discriminate but asian women are, on average, smarter.

I used to be all for white guys back in the highschool days but it doesn't mean I was racist it was just a preference according to appearance and culture. Once I got to know a couple Asian guys and I grew to fall for their great qualities, thats when I started being attracted to Asians as well and race didn't matter after that...
