i have a 93MR2 turbo(LHD). im looking to get some engine work done, she doesnt pull like she used to. was thinkin bout getting a JDM 3sgte swap, was wondering if anybody has done a similiar mod, or a shop that does this kinda work in 604 area? thanx.

Go to TEKAM on Macpherson and Imperial, they specialize in RX7's but my buddy got alot work on his MR2 done there and its our number one shop kinda thing! Anyway they do great work, Staff is awesome and overall A+

We have done several swaps and turbo upgrades on one of our shop members project MR2 including swapping it over to MAP and running on a Honda ECU. PM me if your interested.

If it doesn't pull like it used to do you even know what's wrong with it? A new engine can be quite the expense.

check your igition components and if thats all good check your base timing.

Could be as simple as plugs or wires, new cap and rotor.

is your shop the one thats tuning a 3s-gte on chrome? hows that workin out?

to the OP .. check your plugs, piping connections, couplers before you go and do a swap :thumbsup: .. haha i thought i F'd something up in the summer when i wasnt boosting properly and it turned out a pipe poped out of a coupler on one side (backside where i couldnt see) :p
