On my 2nd set of Bosch Icons. The first set were great, the 2nd set not so much. I suspect that because it's frameless and 26", it's not getting even pressure throughout the entire length of the wiper. It streaks/makes no contact right in my line of sight which is annoying. In any case, looking for an alternative to the Bosch Icons. BTW, if you have access to a US mailbox, Amazon has some pretty decent prices for the Bosch Icons compared to Canadian retailers. If you can wait, I occasionally see $15 off rebates for them so it's almost buy one get one free with those offers. |
PIAA has come out with their Silicon SI-tech now. |
For my Dodge Stealth, I've tried a bunch of brands in the past and the best so far has been PIAA Super Graphite (which I guess are now discontinued). I just bought my first pair of Super Sporza Silicone wipers this weekend and can't wait for the rain to come just to use them. :) They look great. Was happy to toss out the crappy Reflex and Wettec Reflex wipers EDIT: We've had lots of rainy days this past week and a half and I had lots of chances to test the wipers. As expected, they worked well and are so silent compared to my last set of Reflexes. The rain is just beading up and flying off the windshield. |
Where can I get some fine steel wool to take off overspray? |
Cool thread :D Where does one find the PIAA blades locally? |
wow... way to bump a year old thread.. lordco carries piaa wipers... however, one of our sponsors on RS overseas auto carries them... scroll up... best prices you'll find on them... i personally use OE wiper blades... and when the wiper rubber wears out (takes a year), i use PIAA refills... i also don't use rainX... i use aquapel... works waaaaay better... lasts much longer too |
I'm currently using Anco Contour wiper blades with the Sure Wipe wiper booster on my Civic and they have worked flawlessly for the past 2+ years. No streaking, chatter or wiper lift at all. |
Hmmm bought the PIAA Si-tech windshield wipers and can't seem to install them on my 2012 A4 :( - Asked everyone in the audi forums about whether the adapter would have changed from 2011 and they said that it didn't so I don't know what gives |

I'm pretty happy with my costco michelin wipers $25 for the pair, no streaks, quiet, so far so good? |

Edit: Picked up a pair for $11.49 each. Looks good, hope it performs well. http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/...109_155904.jpg Edit again: Quiet smooth operation, no noise or streaks. Works well. |

Every three months I take alcohol or iso and remove the rainx from my windshield then I machine glaze my glass to fill any minor stone chips and help the blades glide smoother. Re rainx my windshield then install bosch icon's from lorco and see how little I use the wiperblades |

Bosch Microedge or Bosch Icons (Top of the line ones..can't remeber what they're called). But I also use aquapel. It's better than rainx by 100000x. People who still use rainx are dumbasses. |
