I apologize for bringing this thread up but I wanted to share with you a Christmas Giveaway that I was very lucky to be part of.

Long story short, my friend wanted to do something different this Christmas and decided to buy gifts and give them away for kids. We gave around 20+ gifts, ranging from Toy Story & Transformers figures and another 30+ gift cards to the kids' parents and shoppers. We saw lots of smiles and some of the reactions were priceless. Hopefully our act of kindness will bring smiles to the many families and that it'll be paid forward.

But I just have 1 comment, and you guys can fail me if you want....

I totally like idea of what you guys are doing...I'm all in for generosity...
It's my opinion, but why does it feel to me like its more of a stunt for attention on youtube?
Would one have done the same deed without the video cam rolling?
If one is doing a good deed, why is there a need of making a video to show you are doing something good? I dont see the point?

for example....Its like going to give change to a homeless man.... but hey! make sure you take a pic of me doing it, so i can show everyone i gave him a toonie

I believe that if you are in good heart, trying to give/help somebody , you shouldnt have to prove it to anyone.
