It's discontinued so I really don't think you'd be able to find a new one.

New one in stores is highly unlikely although not impossible at places like Blockbuster and some other places where systems are not sold often but don't bet on it. Your best bet would be the obvious which is craigslist, eBay etc.

I seen at london drugs that they are still running the 20gb or 60gb on their displays...maybe you can purchase those ones...

perhaps finding an old 80GB is good enough and a more viable option

barely any diff between old 80GB and he 60GB...unless you spend all of your time playing PS2 games :)

whats the difference between the old 80 gig and new 80gig? And how can you tell them apart?

Duh, maybe that's why he wants a 60GB....

The difference between the old and new 80GB is that the old one plays PS2 games (not very well, so it's not worth it) and the new one doesn't at all.

If you want to play upscaled PS2 games fully compatible, you need to buy a 60GB or 20GB.

2 USB port on the new one and 4 USB port on the old one

also the silver painted trim on the new one and the chrome trim on the old one

best place probably would be on craigslist, I've seen a few on here as well ranging anywhere from $350 - $700. You're not going to find a brand new one.
