exactly....

The west kept on blaming China for making fake stuff but they themselves are even better at making fake news...and even more striking is that there are alot of people who actually believe in whatever BBC or ABC has to tell them.

Two words -

Fake Milk

China has little credibility now as far as counterfeit merchandise goes.

Hell, we all know the pork bun/cardboard story is fake but it wasn't exactly surprising

As Macro has said, they are just placement ads for future leases of the space.

But in China, a new building can pop up within months as oppose to Canada where it would take 5 years! :lol

I was told that some of the fake designer clothing is now been made in Chinese sweatshops operating in Italy. And surprisingly the quality of the fake clothing coming from these sweatshops is pretty decent.

DVD-9 movies or DVD9 games are like $5rmb each (75cents cdn).
a blank DVD-9 is like $10rmb each ($1.5cdn)...

China is great if you want to go cheap.

Yea if you are talking about 100% identical logos, then I think it is a counterfeit and hence ilegal.

But because I'm in the manufacture industry, there is also another interesting point that I think most of you don't know.

Nowadays, ALOT of things are made in China, including name brands such as Juicy Couture, Coach, Mizuno, Gap, North Face and all that.

I cannot say this for certain, but I think alot of stuff you see on those street markets in China are actually the real deal from the same fcatory (For example your golf clubs) they are the same golf clubs produced in the same factory that also produce the "real" golf clubs. Its just that these ones they got on the streets might be "over productions" from the factory, I.E. the factory owners decided to produce more clubs than the American brand owner has ordered, resulting in a surplus. The factory owner then sold these clubs to the street sellers, resulting in real clubs being sold on the streets.

These clubs are the real deal in terms of their quality, design and origin, just that they are technically not allowed to be sold.

correct me if anyone else has more insights.

I agree that some are probably the real deal, but many others are still fake.

this thread reminds me of the fake hello kitty bag with a moe on her face HAHAHA

Lol, China is so ridiculous. It will be interesting to see if these tactics actually help the country. I don't think any other country has been solely built on ripoffs and sweat shops - not to any legitimate prosperity anyway.

Solely on knock-offs? what about the clothing you are wearing that is made in China? is that a knock off also?

China produces almost everything in the world from shoes clothings to electronics and cars...are you saying they are all knock offs and all the hardwork is fake?

.Renn.Sport 01-07-2009 01:30 PM

there is a reason why they can't crack down on counterfeit factories, a lot of region actually rely on those fake LV factories to provide the economical growth. If they shut down those factory, the whole town would be out of a job.
