Where to put my speaks
 

I have a 1990 4runner and I need a place to install Pioneer 6 3/4" Component Speakers TSD720C. Has anyone put these in the doors before?? Is there enough room? Its a bush truck so it dosnt need to be pretty... just need to get them in there somewhat easily. I am running a set on the rear gate also.

Also, are Focal 100 CA1 any good? Found a set for 100bones that I wanted to run up in the dash to level out the sound a-bit. They will be amplified... I just want something better than the alpine type-s 4" at a competitive price.

The speakers will need spacers...lots of them or you could build a fibreglass pod and angle them into the sweet spot from the doors and then put the tweeters up higher to gain some staging.
As for the Focal's, you probably won't hear the difference because of the stupid location that Toyota has provided in the dash. I wouldn't even bother with that location. Just make some nice pods, aim the tweeters and you're good to go.
