I love how people jump to RASIST right away. Somehow I’m guessing the cop is just a dip shit. He pulled a gun, maybe he thought it was a tazer, maybe hes just trigger happy, but it doesn’t look like anything racist. I’m guessing the kid was struggling a little as they were arresting him (you can see that in the video a little), and the guy stood back and had his weapon out while the other officer went to put the cuffs on him and secure him. Then Whoops! Cop should be tossed from the force, and charged with second degree (I belive that’s murder without intent), but I think screaming racism is a bit much.

Does that mean when a Chinese cop pulls me over in Vancouver I can say it was racist too? Same goes for the other video, That’s a black cop on a white looking dude, was that racist too?

If he jumped up and screamed “I hate black people, die!” then yeah, you have a case. Right now its just a case of a moron cop who shouldn’t have been anywhere near a gun.

I think most police forces have to go through training again, how can there be so many of these cases where people got shot for minor reasoning? What are the police thinking at that point?

I would bet he claims it was an accident. And I guessing it probably was. He still needs some jail time though.

Although I may disagree with a lot of the laws, and I think there are some real douche bag cops, but I also feel pretty sorry for them as the good ones get a bad rap. Every time someone makes a move, you have to wonder if you’re going to get shot. Some kid starts to struggle I would probably cover my fellow officers back by getting my gun out as well. It’s the states, who knows if the kid is armed or not. Its not like BC, or Canada in general. However, probably would have been best to check that safety first. But Cops in the states are MUCH more aggressive than RCMP or Cops here. Living in the states the cops always stressed me out. They are everywhere, and they make it perfectly clear that if you fuck with them, you are getting fucked with. No questions. Canadian Police and RCMP are so laid back in comparison its not even funny. I talk to cops here all the time, ask for directions or whatever. I NEVER talked to cops in the states unless absolutely necessary.

And just because it’s a bunch of black kids means nothing, In the states they have a much larger black population than us. It’s not like Van where you don’t see very many black people.

I can’t count how many times a Chinese person, black person, or Mexican person has made a racial comment to me, and as a white guy I’m supposed to laugh it off.

Back on topic, Stupid move by the cop. Hope he goes to jail. Same with the Moron in the video below him (and it’s a black guy shooting a white guy, imagine that!). Both these guys need jail time. Of course, wouldn’t it be funny to find out the guy was going for a gun we can see……..

Power trip. It COULD have been an accidental misfire.

Being muscled by cops suck. I know they do it to subdue the person, but hell it hurts like a bitch. Even if you cooperate and follow their instructions it may appear as if you are struggling but getting your arm twisted like that hurts for most people.

yup, like i said before earlier in the thread, if this was done in greece, riots would break out like crazy.

In this example, it's a clear video shot too, like the cops clearly a moron. In the last greece indicent, there was no clear evidence that the cop direcly shot the kid yet crazy riots started.
