at least we have one this year...don't we normally skip it? |
compared to ubc's reading break..you guys dont really need one you guys finish exams generally earlier than us..and you have your snow days :p |
wow....two days off. awesome. |
cant complain with snow days and such |
SFU reading break happens if Easter long weekend does not land within normal class time during the semester. I heard it's different because a long time ago when the unions representing schools in BC were negotiating a new deal, workers at SFU and Langara got fed up and ended up each negotiating their own deal respectively. Pretty much every school in Canada has a reading break at the same time. |
Yeah reading break is great, our two days worth. Even better when you already don't have classes on those days. :p That said, last year I believe they skipped the breaks due to... err "snow days"? |
the whole 2 days are starting to look a lot better. lectures and tutorials for my english class are cancelled |
You can't really compare SFU/UBC because of the two different systems. One is a Tri-mester, while the other one is a more traditional semester system. Waterloo, UTM, follow the same trimester system as SFU and they usually skip their "midterm" breaks too. |
yes sfu starts later than ubc too...sides the "break" usually means more studying |
you got the quotations on the wrong words......... "studying" |
