How to Make Windows XP CD?

I have the .img/cdd/sub files for Windows XP but I'm not sure how I can burn it, so it'll boot up when the comp turns on...

or would it be easier burning it via .iso?

Which program would I need to make it? I have Nero 8.

Since I've also been infected with that gay "Antivirus 2009" rootkit..

Thanks!

Use Nero 8 Express or Burning ROM. On one of drop-down menus you will find "Burn Image", then browse to the ISO file.

Hmm...so I need it to be .iso format?

I only have the .img ones right now :(

.img is a comparable file format.

Do what he said.

you can manually change the extension from img to iso if needed.

Ok I went to burn image, found the .img file and it still doesn't work..

It "burns" but it doesn't boot up on start-up nor does it register on my laptop

what am I doing wrong?

Is the optical drive set to boot up prior to the HD?

HonestTea 01-07-2009 05:46 PM

Pretty sure it is since I disabled #1/2 which were Floppy then IDE, so it's only booting from CD-Drive

Do you have any other bootable media to try? If not, try downloading Ultimate Boot CD - v4.1.1 ISO from here, burn it, and see if it boots. http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.html

You seemed to have burned everything correctly. You can use IMGBurn and just straight burn the .IMG or you can try renaming the .IMG to a .BIN and the .CCD as a .CUE and open up the .CUE with Nero/IMGBurn/whatever it is you use.

Okay. I used another file .daa and burned it using PowerISO and i think it worked...?
