Work Meister S1 3pc

Hey guys,

I have a set of work meister s1 3pc already ordered for my widebody 240sx. But after looking around i wanted to get them re-done from black to a SBC or a Burning Black finish on them. Have you guys ever heard of anyone trying to to get anyone of theses colors done before or is it even possible?

Thank you
Jimmy

You could consider a custom re-finish,

here are my Work VS-VX (18x10.5 and 18x9) that I did body color (Mercedes PeridotBraun- it's like metallic black/brown):

You can't really tell in the lighting this pic was taken in, but the'relike a very dark metallic brown:

The nice thing about 3 piece wheels if if you disassemble them and paint the centers and reassemble, it looks factory. I should warn you this was extremely time consuming though, re-torqueing all of the wheel hardware when reassembling.

Nice choice on wheels dude, I bet they will look sick!

You can send them to the states , the finish is "sprayed chrome" look up goodrich chrome, I had it dome , it's not cheap .

You could try Greens , when I had mine done in the US , he had just bought the setup to do this process , but he told me he was having problems with it and I should get them done in the US to be sure .

Apparently you must be extremely specific with the torque setting for every bolt, and manufacturers usually don't release the torque spec of the bolts so it's quite fishy getting into disassembling rims

Captain Bondo 01-12-2009 11:21 PM

I can't remember where i found a spec, i found one somewhere.... it was a while ago. I do remember using blue loctite as well.

If you use a reasonable torque setting per the fastener size, make them all even, use blue loctite, and use the sealing tape between the 2 shells, IMO you're pretty safe.

But yeah, you need to torque opposite sides in a pattern and make sure ALL of the bolts are torqued EQUALLY and everything is seated right.

Good point to bring up!

are u talking about "tint chrome" look? thats actually a tri coat paint. i believe panthers can do it, thats what their guy said when they swung by to pick up some wheels to get refinished before.

Some ppl will hate it but i love the stretch look :D

Leopold Stotch 01-25-2009 10:44 PM

that's a nice colour.

Lol i've got nothing against stretching i just like maximum traction. ish.

after looking more carefully it's not that much of a stretch. but noticeable enough.

btw is your car a S14 or S13?
