Transfering Money From BMO Hey guys, How can I transfer my money from BMO's savings account to my new PC Financial banking account, so I can cancel it after? I can't find the option to do this. |
What? How can you transfer money from BMO savings then to PC and then cancel it? What? |
I think he meant that he wanted to close down the BMO account. Anyways, tell the BMO teller that you want to close down the account and withdraw all the money inside. They will issue you a bank draft (I believe it is free) and you can then deposit the bank draft through a PC automated banking machine. |
1. email transfer 2. bank draft/MO 3. cheque (wait 5 bus. days for it to clear) 4. withdraw cash and deposit at PC |
If it's just a one time transfer to close out your account, probably easiest to just write yourself a cheque from your old account and deposit it into your new account. Getting a bank draft or money order will probably have less complications, but contrary to what Slifer says, it SHOULD cost you a fee, like $5 or more. |
I transfer money back and forth between PC and TD on the PC website... I don't see why you coudln't do it with BMO. just add the acount info. transfering online is free for PC. |
there is usually a fee associated with transfering funds from one bank to another. If you have cheques available from your BMO account, you should just write yourself a cheque and deposit it thru the machine. If not then go to the BMO bank teller and ask for a bank draft which would cost between 5-10 dollars or free depending on your account. |
