Buying 2009 Nissan Rogue SL AWD on Monday

Would like to know whether any1 here own one or have a friend that own one...Is there any problems or complaints about the SUV?

I see a lot of used Nissan Rogue on sale on Craigslist and also in other dealerships. Is it because it has a bad quality engine in the long run?

Any advice would be appreciated:thumbsup:

The Rouge was introduced not too long ago, but the drivetrain is similar to the Xtrail that it replaced. It should be a fairly solid car, but if you are keeping it long term, extended warranty is recommended.

QR25DE — 2.5-litre DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine

Look up the engine in wiki. This engine has seen more than it's fair share of problems. If you do buy one I would put a header on it ASAP.

Out of interest, what made you keen on getting the rogue? Did you consider other crossovers in this segment?

there's nothing wrong with Rogue, I think it's pretty good.

it's like a mini-Murano :D

I'm assuming they utilize multiple catalytic converters as they do on Sentras and Altimas. It will prevent the 'pre-cat' from cracking up and getting sucked into the engine. When it starts eating cat, massive oil consumption comes soon.

never seen any rogue's come in for problems at work.. they do take 5L of oil with filter, which is alot of oil for a 2.5L 4cyl. more than other 2.5L in the altima's
