It's all stepped so really you're paying 20.06% on most of it. That is also Provincial and Federal taxes combined so only part of it is going to the Provincial Government the rest is going to the Federal Govt. I'm sure the Federal portion will mainly be gobbled up and used to prop up those who live in the East because that is how the Federal Government in Canada rolls.
