Although highbeams don't reflect light back to me as what everyone's been telling me.

I had fogs on my old car, and they were purely for show. My dad's safari van back in the day had yellow fogs and they seemed more effective. There is some reason behind it, but i can't recall.

Having high beams in fog is worse, everything reflects back from my experience.

I guess the key to driving safely in the fog is to make sure you have your taillights on, so other people can see you from behind.

Fog lights *should* help a bit, and the reason is because they're so low, they can generally shine under the fog (fog is usually ~2-3' off the ground or so due to temperatures).

i think the angle and colour of your fogs effect have well they work. the light beams mounted low and on an angle to limit reflection off water particulars and the wave-lenght of the light

Alphamale 01-16-2009 08:26 AM

You guys also forget to mention that the light's just aren't for you to see things, it's for other people to see you, durrrrrrrrrr.

Hheidi 01-16-2009 09:08 AM

you think ubc highway is scary at night....its worse with the fog ><"

Mananetwork 01-16-2009 09:29 AM

I just landed in YVR, and above all this fog was a beautiful sunset over the Rockies!! The landscapes were gorgeous, I didn't really want to land!

It's funny because the fog is sitting super low too! We dipped the plan into the clouds and within 10 seconds we were landing! If the fog was to clear Vancouver would actually enjoy the a beautiful sunny day!

Armind 01-16-2009 09:36 AM

^Should've taken a pic :(

LemonH2O 01-16-2009 09:39 AM

they showed Cypress on the News last night...from the peak, all you see is sunshine and then the fog below you.

Armind 01-16-2009 09:42 AM

Damn.. I really wanna see how the view was like

That's exactly how it was. I saw a couple cities peaking out of the fog. If your high enough, you can see the fog engulfing all of the lower mainland!

Vancouver is just as cold as Japan, but it was sunny 12/12 days I was there. It was a good change!

macatacz 01-16-2009 10:52 AM

the fog was so thick.. I couldn't even see the traffic lights until I was right infront of it!

q0192837465 01-16-2009 01:03 PM

Drive slow guys, & watch out for MIB J-walkers

Kaiten 01-16-2009 01:29 PM

I notice a lot of stupid people speeding excessively because of the fog; I assume it's because they think they won't get seen by cops?

q0192837465 01-16-2009 01:58 PM

I wonder if the red light cameras can get a pic of someone running a red?

shenmecar 01-16-2009 01:59 PM

it probably can, whether or not you can see the plate clearly is another story.

Gazorcoop 01-16-2009 02:59 PM

fog for another 4 days

I actually think what's more scary is driving through fraser - main on 33rd, where the cemetary is on both sides. The you got that whole fog thing happening, it's eerieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

skyxx 01-16-2009 03:05 PM

A lot of drivers have burnt out brake lights and city lights. It irritates me a lot, especially with the recent foggy weather. I can't really blame them cause they don't know that they're burnt out and it's hard to tell them that they have a burnt out bulb while driving. :/ Oh well... :/

rev5325 01-16-2009 03:19 PM

I'm going to go out and rent "The Fog"

ajax 01-16-2009 04:39 PM

this fog is nothing compared to the fog in india! i swear you could cut a box out of the air it was so thick,
