Ya, but plenty of those aren't VW specific. All the tools I needed for working on Volkswagens I ended up using on other vehicles (triple square bit, penta head socket, etc)... albeit I'll admit that I'm having trouble finding another use for that bloody 17mm hex key. :( lol

BMW and MB differentials use 17mm hex.. but it is way better to use a Hex socket than a key.. can't torque a key;)

I know this is going to sound funny... but don't rule out going to a dealership... They may charge more per hour but you can rest assured that the tech who is working on your car is actually a certified... the other thing is that the time they alow for jobs is less than those doing the work at some of the smaller shops... FOR EXAMPLE... Clarkdale allows 4 hours for a coilover/suspension install... PG is minimum 5... At 90 bucks an hour @ PG and 112 @ clarkdale... well you be the judge...

I KNOW I am biased towards clarkdale... but in general people are quick to rule out a dealership and in some cases thats wrong... Every time my car has gone into an aftermarket shop like pg it always costs me more than they quoted in the first place... (just throwing that out there!)

VW/audi are not backyard mechanic friendly. the drain plug for my transmission is a 16mm 12 point tamper proof plug. funny thing is i used vice grips and they worked like a charm.
not a fan of there fasteners. but i like there cars.
