They were just fooling around. Probably some sort of exhibition. Just the way how the guy is returning the ping pong and flailing his limbs as if he's being blown back. Then the cartwheel. And the guy that's just smashing it right to him instead of either tapping it or smashing to another direction.
Very cool video though, and still takes a lot of skill to perform.
