if u only have morning class u don't have to pay.... if i leave the school b4 noon i never pay and i never got a ticket. Also since if u paid for the stall spot and if you go out for lunch or something and come back and someone took you stall u can just put ur original recept on your dash and dats fine.( i usually do that since more ppl left the school means i can park closer to my class) so that means you can share with your frd. Before one of my frd would just buy the stall and give me the recept and i would just put that on my dash... i did that for a whole year and its fine. never gotten a ticket. but if you are a really cheap bastard and won't mind walking 10mins+ to class.. u can park at the park on the other side of the road for free near deer lake. even tho there are signs there that says 2 hour max.. few ppl i know parked there for a whole semister ealier this year and they said its totally fine |

haha so there are others that know about this loophole :blueguy: |
my friend assumed ppl before him payed and got towed 3 times already lol |
One reminder though, not everyone pays for their parking by stall. There are people (like me) who buys a parking permit online each week. That way, I can park wherever I want. So I pay for my car's license, not the stall where I park. That's why it's a gamble to assume the person before you for a stall already paid, because they could have been using a permit instead. edit: If you're really really cheap, you can wait at the ticket machines for people who leave their receipts when they buy their tickets or just see if you're lucky enough to find one on the ground. |

first 2 times was exactly as u described but after he paid it all off they failed to clear his record on file, and he was towed right away any good places to park near SW2/3 in evenings? |

Anywhere to park at night for evening classes? $3.50 adds up :( |
Park by EA, I believe it's free parking there. That's if you don't mind walking hehe. I'm parking there tonight :D |
^ where abouts is that? not really familiar with BCIT |
If you're coming from kingsway going downhill towards BCIT, turn left on sanderson and then take the next left again. It's free after 6pm. |
^ awesome! Thanks! |
No problem (: |
^ question! So I turned left on Sanderson and when do I turn left again? It's quite complicated near there..haha..since theirs Kodak/EA and another BCIT building. I saw EA's building but theirs turn-stalls(sp?)/gates there? |
park by the OTHER bcit building (: they're free after 6pm if you happen to look. I park there every week lol |
^ So you turn left on the first street after turning left on Sanderson? And I just park inside the parking lot or on the streets? |
Yep, park on the street. |
^ Found it! Thanks :) The walk isn't that far..maybe like 7-9minutes but at night it could get quite dangerous lol |
Yep my classroom is in SW1. Quite the walk. I'm looking for other free parking spots too! It's just way too dark, it'd be fine if the lights were on |

I agree, it's pretty dark when you're walking up the hill then turning left towards your car. It can get pretty dangerous if you encounter the wrong people or thing..haha Hook me up if you find some other free parking spots! I'll share em too if I encounter any :) |
I think there's like a free parking spot around the NE-NW area of BCIT. I'll let you know. |
Gardner or Garner st along canada way, it's free after 6pm. you're lucky if your class is around the northeast area. I've got a class at SW1 so I'm still debating where to park and which one's closer lol |
thx for the post. i normally park at the greentree village park and it's about a 7minute walk to my sw6 class. for my ne1 class, it's a lot further. i was thinking about paying $3 today because of the wind and rain but gardner street looks really close to ne1. |
