Can't connect to a friend's WC3 game and vice versa So, whenever we try to play a game on battlenet, neither of us can connect to the other, but we're perfectly fine connecting to the same game if a random is hosting, any ideas why this is happening? |
open up 6112 or 6113 ports in your router settings. Assuming you have a router. |
Ahh, okay thanks =] I'll get my brother to try it when he gets home. |
|
Yea.... I don't really touch anything to do with the router. Last time I tried I lost the internet on my computer for a few days until my brother got home from visiting family. |
if you plan to host and also want your brother to join your game, one of you will need to change the game port in Options to 6113. The default is 6112. |
Definitely a port issue, just go to your router gateway page, and forward port 6112 (or whichever it set in your options). Follow Stevie P's link for best step-by-step information. |
Got Raid3n to do it last night for me. The friend I was trying to play with lives in Miami, but Raid3n opened up all the ports from 6112-6119... so hopefully it'll work now =] |
