i got the same one. we used it to get to san fran, LA, vegas and home.
i really need to update the maps though. it doesnt know that the seattle premium outlets exist

lately i've have problems going to view map of route. scaling and moving around on the map can be annoying.

tomtom one xl

Garmin Mobile XT sucks at searching for attractions......most of the time anyway. Even when typing in address and searching mobileXT can take forever compared to a standalone GPS unit.

Garmin Nuvi 250w. It's pretty useful when I need it but most of the time, it's just lying around.

I've heard rumours that Rogers won't allow that/will charge up the ying-yang for that...any truth to that?

Why would they? The only charge I can think of is the data charge to download the maps and pull the directions back from Google.

As for me, I use a Garmin Nuvi 360. Paid $400 years ago, but has saved me on numerous occasions.

I don't know, I got warned against downloading Google maps on my work Bberry...may have been someone here overreacting...but apparently they were told Rogers won't cover it 'cuz it's too data intensive.

and yeah, my Garmin is used daily and I love it every day haha

hmm...I'd figure Rogers wouldn't say anything and then just charge the customer for data and any overages. :D The more data intensive, the better.

I can imagine it being pretty data intensive though - you look at it loading the maps and each time it refreshes, it's in 300k chunks. I'm sure that adds up VERY quickly.

I'd love a Garmin 530 but I have no place to put it ;)

haha yeah, exactly. That's why my work warned me about it...pretty sure Rogers kept nice and quiet about it ;)
