amp goes thud when i power down the car

its connected to stock deck, and remote is wired to ignition i believe. when i turn off the car, i get a thud.

usually this never happened to any of my other cars as the remote was going to harness (aftermarket deck). anything i can do about it?

cheers,

What kind of car? It may have an amplified antenna output that you can use to trigger the amp or a Pac Audio module can be used to simulate a remote turn on for the amp.
Then again on some model amplifiers a speaker level in is all you need. This input will also turn on the amp as well.

its a tsx, i was told that its because its wired to speaker and not stereo out (stock deck, not aftermarket)

i get the thud when i power off the deck(power button), even when the car is on.

could it be true..

Sounds like it might be wired to accessory. When you power the deck off, the amplifier is still on??

That head unit should have an amplifier out, least I think there's on under the rear deck in the trunk?? What kind of amplifier do you have?

The simple solution is to install a toggle switch on the trigger wire to turn the amp off before you turn the car or deck off to avoid this annoying thud.

The more involved way would be to either pull the deck out and grab the amp turn on wire or pull center console up to access the factory Pioneer amp and steal a trigger from there.

If you don't have the amplified system, then the first option is probably best.

ive got a tsx and had the exact same problem when using the speaker level input. I bought a line out convertor and the thud is now gone.

i have the same problem, i'm running my stock deck with a LOC. orgasm told me the thud is because of the signals or something like that.. iunno.. i've gotten used to it, planning to go aftermarket deck soon anyways..
