The 3.5 cents discount was useless.. It is just a placebo effect in our minds.

LemonH2O 01-21-2009 12:56 PM

The oil company's new excuse is that they buy in american dollar, so when their dollar is high and our dollor is low, that makes our gas prices high... ?????

marc0lishuz 01-21-2009 12:58 PM

Fuckin rape, I tell ya. 95c/L is ridiculous given the price per barrell.

q0192837465 01-21-2009 02:18 PM

sigh, it sucks when some of us has no alternative but to drive

MarkyMark 01-21-2009 02:31 PM

It fucking sucks, but there's really nothing we can do about it, which fucking sucks even more.

Noir 01-21-2009 04:13 PM

Aren't you guys happy that we're still under a dollar? It was only a few months ago we'd kill for $1.2

alex.w *// 01-21-2009 04:34 PM

gas prices seem like what we had in 2005-2006

2damaxmr2 01-21-2009 04:45 PM

the americans are still paying 60cents a litre.....facepalm

I'll be happy when things make some sense. Oil could go down to 5 dollars a barrell and I bet we'd still be paying over 50 cents a liter.

Drift_Monkey 01-21-2009 04:51 PM

a few months ago most of us still have our jobs & would be glad to pay 1.20

for those who got laid off recently, the gas prices are not so affordable and need to be lowered by half price.

static 01-21-2009 06:24 PM

RS group buy on a refinery anyone ? we could make our own gas and buy our own crude hahaha.

Toeknee 01-21-2009 06:55 PM

I had to go to Abbotsford to work for 1 day. On my way back, bought a tankful at Huntington for 85cents/liter. As soon as I went back into surrey it turned to 95 centers/liter... sighs

60cents a litre in US = 76cents Canadian. Plus we have more taxes on petro compared to the US. So it's really not that far off...

danned 01-21-2009 11:22 PM

3xta 01-21-2009 11:58 PM

Yea, its getting fucking ridiculous since their only paying around $40/barrel, yet thier charging $0.95 per litre. But we can't do much since gas is a necessity :(

Last night was funny - 89.9/88.9 in Vancouver around Broadway/Granville, and it was SO busy. People were getting all mad, too.
