my quest to 1080p on xbox360 I've been reading up online about how to get my 360 to play 1080p videos and hit a speedbump. This is how far i got, two progs: 1. GOTsent 2. xenonmkv Figured out that it must be split in 4GB pieces, both progs do that automatically. Trying to encode in H264. Both programs are in beta stages and both crash before i can get a final product! GOTsent is not working well, it creates 4 .mp4 files around 200mb in size with reduced video quality. Xenonmkv creates the proper .mp4 video files in 4GB chunks but the program crashes before it can complete it! Has anyone had success doing this? |
Does XBOX have an equivalent to PS3mediaserver? It remuxes on the fly, and works decent, considering it's still a young application. |
you could try using tversity. |
Update, tried a few programs no success yet. Red Kawa 360 converter threw some errors at me GOTsent is crashing constantly Trying out a program called Xvid4PSP |
another update: Xvid4PSP looked promising, when trying to play the file on the 360 gave me some error. Looked it up and it was to do with audio. |
Update: I've finally done it. Required an OLD version of GOTsent, takes about 1-2 hours to create an mp4 playable on the 360. |
