not to be an ass. but you did... blow the body when the mirror was up right? not just by tkaing off the lens and blowing...

also when you blow .. have the camera body facing down.. so it falls down instead of just floating around inside... give that a try

jolaika 01-21-2009 10:33 PM

oh yah.. thats what i did. :p sorry.. didnt explain too well.. :p hahaa. and yes i took off the lens and had the body facing down and a friend also told me to do the mirror lock-up and blow air in that too..

You need to do a wet cleaning with sensor swabs.

jolaika 01-21-2009 10:42 PM

hmm.. where can i buy'em?

SLIVER604 01-24-2009 11:03 PM

Lens and shutters

Nssan 01-25-2009 11:33 AM

off topic : may i ask what lens and setting were used to take that?

keitaro 01-25-2009 01:13 PM

i think you should first take a blower like a 'hurricane' or a 'rocket' blower, and blow at your sensor (place your camera into sensor cleaning mode or bulb mode). If the specks of dust doesnt dissapear, then go for a wet cleaning. I would suggest trying to blow it off first.

first 2 photos i used sigma 10-20 and the next 2 is sigma 24-70..
10-20 was i thnk 25sec exp and f11.. and the 24-70 was also around over 20sec exp at f9

i bought this pen for cleanin sensors at broadway camera.. i tried it already.. now its gone. hehe.. i thnk.. i have not tried it yet.. will try taking photos again with the same settings soon..

How much does it cost to get a pro to clean it? I'm afraid I'll screw it up somehow

Senna4ever 06-07-2009 04:15 PM

About $50.

stuff99 06-07-2009 09:18 PM

Where do you recommend?

Senna4ever 06-07-2009 09:42 PM

In Vancouver? I wouldn't trust Camtex or vancam.

Nikon Canada or Sony Canada if you have their respective cameras. Canon, you have to send to Ontario. I can teach you how to do it, too. I clean my sensor whenever I need to.

Armind 06-27-2009 02:50 AM

^ Do teach.. I called Camtex. $75 to clean. FML!
