so i just watched the matrix again the first one, and im stumped because i dont remember when morphus dies...

Morpheus doesn't die. He simply decides he can't live in Zion anymore, decides to go back into the Matrix and, while visiting Las Vegas, he's suckered into becoming a CSI after Grissom leaves.
