it's not the snow, but how cold it is. chances are you have summer tires on your summer car. temps are still hovering around 2*, so your tires will be absolute shite. play it safe, it's only January. |
i'd not put on my good wheels, cuz of the salt... and all that. I got my car nice and clean already, and it took 2 days.... |
I wouldn't be suprised if it snows again. Usually it snows at least once more. |
I have never taken my snow tires off till mind or end of April.. but my car is parked this year.. Their is something to think of here, ICBC may A big maybe may not cover you if you are is in a accident with tires that don't meet the road conditions on. Would you really want to take a chance with your car that you love over this, or even if you hurt someone or a family member over this too.. I know most people here on rs have nice car with a lot of work done on them, and some with big money into them too, I know most people here miss there car just like me I miss my car too, but your car will still be their when summer come's.. |
a customer of mine had bald tires in the winter. she crashed and slid into another car. they still covered her claim but they did not cover her tires. lol btw i run on summer tires all year long...not to mention they are bald tires |
Suppose to snow on Sat....and we have a long long ways to go before winter is finished. Hell, we get snow in March some years. |
goooo away snow.......winter beaters FTW |
Last winter's last snow was April of 08... |
For Victoria I'd assume the snow is gone. Vancouver is a whole different ballpark. |
I have to say, for a business owner, you're pretty fucking dumb. |

a customer came in today and i put on his 26's on his truck. it wasn't even a nissan, which is where i work. |
Final answer... No, don't get ready to pull your summer ride out of the garage or storage yet. Winter has barely stepped into the house and taken off its shoes. We've still plenty of months left to deal with sub-zero temperatures, black ice, snow and ice salt before you should even think about pulling out your summer tires, fancy rims and summer-only rides.
